The Executive Committee sent a Notice for the Ordinary Congress to all Members two weeks ago. In this notice, it said that Members have until the 23rd of December 2020 to send matters they wish to be discussed at the Congress. These matters, major or small, will find space in the Agenda of Congress.
This is a reminder post about this extremely important opportunity to all Members.
The matters Members may want to raise may be pertaining to them directly, or affecting the entire association. They may be contribution to the football movement, or a small governance aspect. These may be about the performance or conduct of the Executive Committee or its members, or conduct of one or other Members.
For example, during the PLFA Diski Return Challenge preparatory meeting, there was a strong desire to get rid of the cross participation practice within the association. We indicated that this is a matter for the Congress. If the same Members are still interested in having this matter reviewed, now it is the time.
To raise the matter, it does not matter whether you are currently in Good Standing or not. Even if you would not be in Good Standing then, your matter, as long as you have raised it before deadline, will still be entertained (only that if you would not be in Good Standing, you may participate in the discussion).
So this is the last attempt to get Members with the drive to contribute to the football movement to do so today before the deadline closes. If for instance a Member feels that they want to still contribute, but request extension for them to do so qualitatively, such a Member may write a request for extension to the Executive Committee (info@plfa.org.za). But that must be done before the end of day of the 23rd of December 2021.
