The commencement of the Super League 2021 season was off to a rocky start. Of the four matches scheduled to play on the 27th of March, only one played because both teams were ready. This is a Young Gunners vs the Bees match. However, even for this match, the ground was not ready. The match was scheduled to play at Masopha S Ground at 15h00. Due to the ground not being ready in terms of being cut and being lined, the match had to be moved to Mbolekwa Ground two hours later.
The match between Mathaithai and Jacaranda did not play. According to the Referee’s, Mathaithai did not have a Team List. This will of course be validated by Mathaithai within the correct processes. However, if this is correct, then such would be the bases for a walkover.
The match between Heroes and Cardinals did not play due to Heroes not honouring the fixture.
The match between Chakvest and Junior Callies did not play due to both teams not honouring the fixture.
As for the 28th of March, only one match played, that is, Cardinals vs Mathaithai.
The match between The Bees and Chakvest did not play due to Chakvest not honouring the fixture.
The Match between Jacaranda Callies and Heroes did not play also due to Heroes not honouring the fixture.

This is what we call, at best, paper football, and at worst, disorganised football. This situation cannot be let to prevail one way or the other. The Office will account for the Grounds not being ready. Corrective Action will be taken mainly to ensure that this sort of thing does not happen again. The teams that did not honour the fixtures will, in addition to loosing points, be made to account in accordance with our Rules.
A Leagues and Competitions meeting will take place on the 30th of March at the usual venue. All team representatives are expected to attend. The Referees meeting will take place on the 29th of March at the usual venue. All Members are expected to send through their Referees. A Technical and Development meeting will take place on the 31st of March 2021 at Molambo Community Hall. Invites have been sent.
Members are urged not to take anything for granted as our Office and our Match Officials will enforce the Rules of the Association and the Laws of the Game respectively, to the letter.
Let us have a better long weekend. There is a match scheduled for the 2nd of April 2021. Let us not have a repeat of what we saw this weekend.
We are scheduled to start with the Junior Football Leagues from the 10th of April 2021. Let u all be better prepared to start with a bang.
