The Ordinary Congress of the association, which was originally to take place on the 23rd of January 2021, will now be held n the 20th of February 2021 at the venue yet to be announced.
The Congress meeting will be a COVID19 compliant physical meeting to be held at an open venue sufficient to allow for physical distance sitting among delegates and other attendees.
COVID19 Compliance means:
- All documents will be shared electronically.
- No attendance registered will be signed. All persons will be noted and marked accordingly by the Secretariat on the attendance register.
- Executive Committee members, Member Delegates and guests will be sanitized, and temperature screened before entering the premises.
- Sitting will be categorized beforehand in terms of the standing of the Members, segregating guests from Members, and having a clear and safe distance sitting arrangements for the Executive Committee members.
- All chairs will be marked by the name of the occupant and organisation they come from.
- Chairs will be set at least 1m apart from each other in all directions.
Delegates with no credentials will not be allowed to access the premises. This means Members must send through their credentials, members of the Executive Committee and guests must confirm attendance on and before the 15th of February 2021.
All documents will be professionally packaged in PDF format and presented on the PLFA’s website for Members and will be made available by the 3rd of February 2021.
Members who have any query to any document and wanting to have such a query entertained during the Congress, must send such a query in writing on their letterhead on and before the 15th of February 2021. No debate will be entertained where the above is not adhered to on any matter.
The Executive Committee will send the updated Agenda with any additional documents from Members on or before the 17th of February 2021.
The Congress will deal with all matters covered by the Agenda, and will entertain questions and or queries that would have been sent in writing, as mentioned here-above for emphasis.
